Pursuing his vision of relaxed yet elegant menswear, Alexis Mabille heads for the seaside. From port to mooring, his men travel solo or as a team, in a dress code that goes from coastal to camp!
A born seducer, he explores the world with dashing and mischievous style. A seasoned adventure who is always open to new discoveries, he charms in classic cuts, pea coats, spencer jackets and trenches, spiced up with unexpected fabrics such as inside-out cotton piqué, lacquered canvas and honeycombed jersey … The refinement of satin, pin stripes and rosebuds is jazzed up by the sporty allure of mottled grey jersey and „wave‟ stripes, plaids and knitwear in a camaieu of cream and navy. Lines are structured by poplins, serge and summer wools.

Aboard his rig, our man chooses the natural comfort of sweatshirts, track pants, a dressing gown or bathrobe, but with sophistication and humor, complete with a pun on the designer‟s name: “Alexis m‟habille me déshabille” (“Alexis Mabille undresses me”) comes emblazoned on T-shirts, while shirts come with hoods or tank tops are embellished with a dickey.
On dry land, his attitude is nonchalant – silk bandana, espadrilles, shorts or cargo pants rolled up to the knee. He captures the freshness of wide-open spaces with a poncho, suit jacket or windbreaker, worn over shirts with a wide scarf collar.
For evening, this handsome man goes minimalist with a summer smoking. Black, midnight blue and white contrast with piqué dickeys or pleated fronts, bowties or French cuffs. In flirting mode, he delights in wearing brocade with a chain motif and a silvery sheen, or a satin stripe that runs the length of his body.
And because he is sure of himself, this man has a sense of humor about underwear, donning models with preppy stripes, all-over prints, sailor stripes and origami folds. And he takes the sun in geometric swimsuits with two-tone stripes, lounge chair stripes and classic trunks with drawstring ties.

Named Beaubow, Bogoss, Bombe, Bomec, Canon, Lover and Tombeur, these models have been incorporated to Mabille‟s spring-summer 2012 menswear collection: “This first collection really aligns with my menswear vision, which is very now and very light – and even a little frivolous.
